Culture minister Ed Vaizey requests meeting with London Met over Cass

The Chair of Governors states the following “I would like to reaffirm that the intention is for the extraordinary teaching staff, studios and workshop facilities that you cite to come to Holloway”.

Should we take from that then that all the courses and staff they have now said are to be made redundant/closed – including lots of CASS staff and courses, are simply just not extraordinary’?

Also, why won’t they publish the ‘numerous’ other options – apparently, including 2-campus models, that were considered but apparently found wanting? Could it be the case that they weren’t premised on shrinking the university, closing hundreds of courses, and sacking hundreds (the unions’ anticipate 400+ over the next three years) more staff?
